His single Sail Away landed on multiple Spotify editorial playlists, earning him recognition as a rising artist.
An award-winning performer, Argel was one of the CBC Searchlight Finalists in 2021, received the Excellence Award by a BIPOC Artist, and was nominated for Pop Artist of the Year at the Fraser Valley Music Awards. In theatre, he won an Ovation Award for Outstanding Performance and has starred in productions like Seussical, Elf! The Musical, and the upcoming Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Brazilian Swag is a dance group of passionate performers who came together to share their love for dance with the community. They bring Brazilian culture to life through vibrant rhythms and dynamic performances.
Each member of the group is a certified Zumba® instructor, but they also have diverse backgrounds in dance and other artistic disciplines, such as Capoeira. This unique blend of skills is showcased in their performances alongside Abalaê Capoeira, where they celebrate the rich roots of Brazil with love and passion.
Colin Sankey is a bass player, composer, and arranger from Vancouver, BC. Often compared to Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, and Alain Caron, he utilizes extended techniques such as tapping and harmonics to create lush harmonies and infectious grooves that feel almost orchestral in nature.
In 2022, Colin traveled to New York and won first place in the Phil Jones Solo Bass Competition, performing his original composition Musica de la Noche. He was also the second-place winner of the 2021 BITE Bass Contest (worldwide), hosted by Charles Berthoud, and has been featured on George Collier's YouTube channel, which boasts over 800,000 subscribers.
Flare Dance Company began as a recreational dance team at Simon Fraser University in 2014. The group has since grown tremendously, winning several competitive awards over the years. The team is women-centric, with all members being working professionals in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Flare is passionate about encouraging women to pursue their hobbies while excelling in their respective careers.

The LA Matheson Secondary School Dance Program features dancers from Grades 8–12 who train and perform in a variety of dance genres, including bhangra, gidha, hip-hop, and many more. Our dancers are known for their positive energy and strong connections to culture, identity, and artistry. The dance program includes a variety of dance classes and competitive teams that attend events throughout the Lower Mainland.

Martin Short says - “Hands-down the best ventriloquist I've seen!” Surrey's own Ventriloquist-Comedienne Norma McKnight started in show business as principal puppeteer and writer for Shari Lewis’ Emmy Award winning TV show “Lamb Chop’s Play-Along.” Since then, Norma and her hilarious characters have performed for diverse audiences around the world- aboard cruise ships, at festivals, schools, comedy clubs and corporate events. You may have seen her on The Comedy Network & Norma & her suave toad character “Norbert” on international COKE ZERO SUGAR commercial “Nailed It”.

Pat Calihou, a Métis artist and one-man band, is known for his crazy slide guitar and driving blues. Pat loves to play original music and songs from the seventies, pouring his heart into every performance. He has performed at multiple music festivals and events across British Columbia. Pat is best known for building the largest Métis monument in BC — a 43-foot long, 10-foot wide York boat located within the walls of Fort Langley National Historic Site. His community recognizes him for his wood carving, but today, he will be carving on his guitars.
